A Colourful Day in the Life of Erb Street’s WMCEC
Clearly a quilting day.
This was a kit donated by Oakville Sewing Centre, which included “French Farmhouse” fabrics. They donate fabrics (and this year a few kits) for the purpose of making projects for the New Hamburg Relief Sale. This is a wall quilt (or could be a baby quilt). It doesn’t actually have a name, but was designed by Laurie Bevan. I think it would be fine to call it “Blue Star Quilt.” Ardith Frey pieced it, and the Erb Street WMCEC hand quilted it for the MCC Relief Sale in New Hamburg in May.
Some of Emily’s strips were used in this comforter.
A quilt made of scraps by Emily Hunsberger. Full pictures and details on the quilts page.
The tea cozies were made by Emily Hunsberger for use in the Erb Street kitchen.
Some other aspects of the event: food and fellowship!
