Care Groups
Care Groups provide an opportunity to deepen and strengthen personal relationships and to care for one another and recognize milestones.
Who we are
- Groups of 12 – 15 adults and/or families with children
- The groups meet at different frequencies depending on their preferences from once a month to 2 times a year
What we do
- Groups meet in households to foster relationships with each other
- Support each other in significant life events including births, illnesses, accidents, unemployment, deaths, etc.
- Recognize or celebrate life milestones eg. anniversaries, birthdays, graduation, marriage, retirement, etc.
- Each group determines how these events or milestones are recognized
- Each group relates to one of the elders from Christian Community Ministry to obtain information, updates and to provide support
- Each group develops a communication plan
